Taco de carne asada (Grilled beef Taco)

Serves 4


1 kg           beef (Rib-eye or flank steak)              

Seasoning mix

                    juice of lemon

                   juice ½ of orange

                  coarse salt


½ tbsp        thyme

1  tsp           granulate garlic

To serve

8                 Flour Tortillas (You can replace them with corn tortillas)

                   Salsa of your choice (I will recommend you to have one    

                   spicy and one mild depending on your guest)

                   Pickled onions and carrots


                   Refried beans


Have ready everything you need for serving the tacos (tortillas,refried beans, salsa and guacamole).

Spread the steaks in a clean working table. Season the steaks with the seasoning mix and let them marinate in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.

In a pan with a little bit of oil grilled both sides of a steak and cut them in slices.. In an extra pan heat the tortillas both sides and fill them with the grilled steaks.


I like to place everything I need to make the tacos over the dinner table, it is always more interesting when our guest can make their tacos according to their taste.
